Leading International Energy Company Selects Kofax for Mailroom Automation

      IRVINE, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

Kofax® plc (LSE: KFX), a leading provider of smart process applications for the business critical First Mile™ of customer interactions, today announced that a leading international oil and gas company has invested more than $450,000 with Kofax to automate its mailroom.

The energy company is using Kofax Mailroom Automation to capture and process more than 200,000 invoices, expense reports and other financial documents annually from eight countries in a more accurate, timely and cost effective manner.

In the 2012 AIIM study, "Forms Processing - User Experiences of Text and Handwriting Recognition," 88 percent of the respondents stated that they scan documents but 55 percent admitted they still manually key data from the resulting images. Kofax Mailroom Automation automates these labor intensive processes to provide the Touchless Processing™ of high volumes of documents, and then perfects and readies information for downstream processes.

"Kofax dramatically transforms and simplifies the business critical First Mile™ of real time, information intensive interactions," commented Howard Dratler, executive vice president of field operations at Kofax. "Organizations who deploy Kofax Mailroom Automation can significantly increase their responsiveness, provide a higher level of service, gain competitive advantage and better manage and grow their businesses while also greatly reducing operating costs."

      About Kofax Mailroom Automation

Kofax Mailroom Automation transforms the traditional high-volume, centralized paper mail opening and routing process to enable the capture and routing of images and information in a digital format to provide a more accurate, timely and lower cost solution. It expands centralized mailroom functions to support scanned input from distributed locations and external stakeholders as well as new mail channels arising from mobile devices and internet portals, and provides added visibility, control and automation to all mailroom tasks. With Kofax Mailroom Automation, processes that took days or weeks of iterative corrective actions can be resolved in minutes.
