TMCnet Business Process Outsourcing Week in Review

By Rachel Ramsey, TMCnet Web Editor

Business process outsourcing delegates tasks or jobs from internal production to an external entity. One of the main driving forces behind the outsourcing of business processes is cost effectiveness. Because of its multitude of benefits, there are plenty of announcements and improvements in the industry week after week. Here are the top business process outsourcing stories this week.

The week kicked off exploring teleprospecting solutions offered by Alorica, a provider of business process outsourcing solutions spanning the entire customer lifecycle. The company offers B2B Sales and Marketing solutions that offer your business significant advantages over standard teleservices approaches. Through defined targeting, rigorous performance monitoring and meticulous project management, it empowers clients to expand possibilities and achieve growth and profitability. Business-to-business teleprospecting is an effective lead generation and qualification vehicle that helps companies cut to the chase and get down to the business of selling.

AccuProcess Modeler is a visual, easy-to-use business process modeling software product that assists businesses in the design, documentation, simulation and improvement of their business processes. The company introduced its next-generation Version 3.0 of the AccuProcess Business Process Modeler product, which allows companies to enhance efficiency and stay competitive with an improved understanding of day-to-day business processes and the methods that can be improved.

There's an app for most everything nowadays: losing weight, socializing, getting entertainment, reading books and news, communicating with friends, checking the weather or your stock portfolio and even curing acne. Up until now, however, the world of customer service was largely app-free. But that was then, and this is now. According to a blogger from global business process outsourcing company, Teleperformance (News - Alert), apps have many advantages over the traditional call to a help center. There’s no waiting time, no limit to how many customers can be interacting with the brand at any one time, and all this is attractive to brands who see a deflection of call volume away from the usual help channels.

Exxova’s MyBI Mobile app offers users immediate access to Enterprise wide content at critical decision points at any location. The app offers users real-time, mission-critical data, whether in the boardroom, restaurant or airport terminal. All existing reports (Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence and Xcelsius) are available without the need for labor intensive rewriting or re-platforming. The company announced that its MyBI Mobile 3.0 app achieved certified integration with the SAP (News - Alert) BusinessObjects XI 3.1 solution.

In its “Leaders” quadrant of two Gartner reports, “Magic Quadrant for Help Desk Outsourcing, North America” and “Magic Quadrant for Desktop Outsourcing Services, North America,” Gartner has placed CSC in Leaders Position. Gartner (News - Alert) says this Magic Quadrant assists companies in spotting and examining help desk outsourcing external service providers in North America. These providers offer help desk services along with numerous other services and offerings.
