Innotas Launches Cloud-Based Project Portfolio Management Platform

Cloud solutions provider, Innotas unveiled the new version of its cloud-based Project Portfolio Management (PPM (News - Alert)) product, which includes new application portfolio management capabilities designed to help IT better manage application portfolios and gain more visibility into IT projects.

The new version of Innotas PPM, which is available immediately, also includes improved reporting and group security features aimed to make it easier and more secure to manage applications, projects, resources and budgets, according to Kevin Kern, CEO of Innotas.

“The latest version of our multitenant, cloud-based solution is focused on helping IT organizations become more effective and efficient in managing, maintaining and monitoring their growing portfolio of business and IT applications,” Kern said in a company statement. With the new application portfolio management (APM (News - Alert)) features, IT organizations will be able to easily drill down into technology projects and applications in their portfolio, Kern says.

The new version of the PPM platform allows users to personalize application categories and track all application attributes in an inventory database; and manage relationships across applications to support application assessment, rationalization, and impact analysis.

The new features of PPM also include reporting functionality for enhanced visibility across resources, applications and projects and include hierarchical reporting to show relationships between portfolios, projects and tasks.

Innotas PPM also features new security and accessibility features, including single sign-on capabilities and enhanced permissions groups for applications and portfolios.

In July, Gartner (News - Alert) listed Innotas as a “Leader” within the “Magic Quadrant for Cloud-Based Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) Services” within its latest study, TMCnet reported. A recent research report by Gartner covers an assessment of PPM Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) applications.

Gartner analyzed 13 vendors within its first “Magic Quadrant for cloud-based PPM Services,” and Innotas has been listed within its “Leaders” quadrant, which implies that the company successfully complies with a number of PPM application functionality and process automation requirements of targeted consumers.
