Norwegian App 'HSEQ' Enhances Organizations' Work Processes, Products

By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributor

The Norwegian smartphone app, HSEQ, recently released by Mellora, is now being used in a number of countries including the U.S., South Korea, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia and Norway. The app is being used by various organizations to report incidents and improvement processes within the health, safety and quality (HSEQ) sectors.

Employees working in these sectors are using the app to enhance the work processes and products of their companies.

"Companies from all over the world contact us daily to check up on the opportunity to have their own customized version of the app,” said Trond Hansen, CEO at Mellora. “Our programmers are currently working on several exciting projects, and recently we published the first two of many special versions to the Dutch company Mammoet with 4000 employees worldwide and one app to the Norwegian oil service company Add Energy. As an expert in the fields of quality and safety, I have long seen the need for a tool like 'HSEQ' but I had never really thought that it was I myself who would be the first in the world to launch such a product.”

Trond Hansen explained that the aim of developing the app was to provide easy methods for reporting quality and safety incidents. He also said that the entire process of developing the app has undergone extensive changes to include a number of significant improvements.

Mellora has, in particular, focused on developing their popular app on the "Keep It Simple" model. This is why the app features a simple user interface, which has been especially instrumental in making the app popular across the globe.

Mellora was keen on introducing a new trend among HSEQ sectors which enabled everyone within an organization to contribute to improving HSEQ related work. This kind of comprehensive and proactive effort on the part of employees within these companies can effectively improve workflows and cut down on the risk of accidents.
