Acumatica Expands U.S. and Global Channel Partner Network

By Raju Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor

Recently, Acumatica, a provider of cloud enterprise resource Planning (ERP) and financial software, added 21 value added resellers (VAR) in the U.S., and additional affiliates in Mexico and other parts of the world.

By doing this, the company is expanding its global channel partner network.

A value-added reseller (VAR) is a company or seller that adds services to a product. The VAR then resells the product as a combined product or complete "turn-key" solution.

This practice is commonly seen in the electronics industry, where a VAR may sell a software application with supplied hardware.

Acumatica added various North American VARs to its channel partner network in Q3 2012.

The company provides cloud ERP software, which benefits the cloud and SaaS (News - Alert) users. They do not have to give up on customization, control, security or speed to do this. Acumatica provides its software with the help of a global network of various channel partners, the company has stated.

“An increasing number of ERP implementation partners are discovering Acumatica as a great alternative to pure SaaS or on-premises-only solutions,” said Stijn Hendrikse, chief marketing officer for Acumatica. “These partners quickly discover Acumatica’s unique value proposition as a 100 percent Web-based product that can run in a private or public cloud SaaS environment, while still offering true data ownership and unparalleled adaptability.”

“These partners can now address the demanding needs of midmarket and enterprise customers by adding Acumatica to their solutions portfolio,” added Hendrikse.

In 2011, the company unveiled a new version of its Cloud ERP software. Acumatica 2.2 consists of various customer driven improvements including automated bank reconciliation, inventory allocation by sales order, expanded replenishment algorithms, and flexible payment remittance. The new version by Acumatica would allow cloud and on-premises customers to deploy these updates at a time that is convenient for them.
