IBM's Partner Program Includes Great Bay's Beacon Endpoint Profiler

By Carolyn J Dawson, TMCnet Contributor

Great Bay Software Inc recently announced that it has received certification from Q1 Labs, a subsidiary of IBM (News - Alert). Great Bay is now a member of IBM’s Security Intelligence Partner Program. IBM's QRadar Security Intelligence Platform has been advantageously used by the incorporation of Great Bay's Beacon Endpoint Profiler offering. The solution ensures stronger association of security events and endpoint profiling data, thereby assisting endpoint security for all network attached endpoints.

Comprehensive and complete security intelligence across the network is offered by the incorporated and computerized IT security offering, the IBM QRadar Security Intelligence Platform. Great Bay's Beacon Endpoint Profiler data will be gathered, scrutinized, accounted for and stored by QRadar in a vital, amalgamated console.

Associates of the Security Intelligence Partner Program are able to eliminate incorporation hiccups while implementing customer offerings. They can tackle the precise requirements of the customers swiftly as the time to resolution is considerably decreased through the program. Associates can not only abridge product incorporations, but also strengthen associations with solution providers.

In a statement, Matt Ward, senior product manager, IBM said, "We have completed the testing as part of the SIPP certification process which ensures interoperability between Great Bay Software's Endpoint Profiler solution and the QRadar Security Intelligence Platform. The information gathered by Endpoint Profiler provides QRadar with a comprehensive view of the endpoint to enable powerful analytics -- identifying specifically unauthorized and non-compliant systems that pose a security risk."

Endpoint Profiling, Network Endpoint Discovery, Rogue Detection and Identity Monitoring of enterprise endpoints use the Beacon Endpoint Profiler as a referential benchmark. 802.1X and Network Admission Control, or NAC systems, can also be implemented and administered in a swift and efficient manner using Great Bay's technology.

Steve Pettit, president, Great Bay said, "Great Bay Software, Inc. is pleased to join IBM's Security Intelligence Partner Program. Our Beacon Endpoint Profiler, combined with QRadar Security Intelligence Platform, allows enterprise organizations to correlate information detected at the core of the enterprise with the details of the endpoints at the edge of the enterprise LAN. This level of data assimilation will lead to a more efficient IT and IT Security operation and reduce the risks related to rogue endpoints connecting to the network."
