Oracle Launches Oracle Enterprise Taxation and Policy Management Self Service

By Jyothi Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor

Oracle (News - Alert) officials have confirmed the availability of its new Oracle Enterprise Taxation Policy Management Self Service, which is developed using world-class Oracle Fusion technology to provide a modern self-service platform.

Oracle Enterprise Taxation and Policy Management Self Service is a prebuilt commercial-off-the-shelf Web self-service solution that offers convenience to tax and revenue authorities to quickly provide more taxpayer services online including the ability to make payments, contact the tax agency with questions and requests or receive self-guided automated assistance with policies and tax law.

In addition, this service is pre-integrated with Oracle Enterprise Taxation and Policy Management, and it is built using open standards that allow for integration with non-Oracle and custom legacy application so provide uniform citizen facing services in a complex heterogeneous IT environment.

This service includes a comprehensive set of pre-built self-service features, designed and built specifically for public sector revenue management authorities.

“For many years, taxpayers had to make a phone call or travel to a local tax and revenue authority to deliver a form, discuss his/her situation or make a payment. Today, however, citizens and businesses expect to find instant answers to their questions and make payments, all via the Web – anytime, anywhere. Oracle Enterprise Taxation and Policy Management Self Service enables tax and revenue authorities to provide taxpayers with anytime access to valuable information and services, ultimately strengthening the tax and revenue authority/taxpayer relationship,” said Mark Johnson, senior vice president, Oracle Public Sector.

The solution also works with many credit card payment processors for tax payments to simplify the electronic payment process.
