TMCnet's Business Process Outsourcing Week in Review

By Michelle Amodio, TMCnet Contributor

Another week comes to a close as we wrap up the news in business process outsourcing.

This week, TMCnet reported that DealNet’s business process outsourcing unit made a deal with Ontario Public Service Association to further develop in the BPO business, providing a base for the One Dealer business in the North American HVAC and water heater financing sector.

"We are excited to announce that the consistent results provided by our BPO team in Toronto have culminated in this renewal and the opportunity to continue to further develop this business," said Bob Cariglia, DealNet president. "Servicing the needs of such a highly visible and regulated client can be challenging, however, we have been extremely pleased with our working relationship with the client that has resulted in this early contract renewal."

In healthcare news, organizations in this industry are turning to outsourcing to lower overall costs.

According to recent statistics of the top 20 outsourcing firms, there has been a 13.1-percent growth between 2010 and 2011 in outsourcing for healthcare. The healthcare industry faces challenges by way of regulation changes and rising costs, so outsourcing has become an attractive option.

Alorica is detailed as one BPO solution to tackle the increasing costs of managing a healthcare office, from call handling to maintaining information, and is listed as HIPPA-compliant.

“Alorica has demonstrated proven ability to accommodate the staffing of season ramps and temporary programs,” said Lexy Desrosiers, executive director client services, Alorica.
