TMCnet's Business Process Outsourcing Week in Review

By Michelle Amodio, TMCnet Contributor

Time to recap the headlines in business process outsourcing as we close the week out and get ready for a new year.

This week, TMCnet reported that big data provider Software AG released the results of its technology adoption survey, of which they found that big data, cloud and process management will be on the up and up in adoption rates.

These business process management technologies will see an increase over the next two years.

“Driving the adoption of these technologies is the need for faster, better informed business decisions. But the real-time data, rapid scalability and fast decision making enabled by these technologies are of little use if companies still take months or years to implement business process change. The market will not wait, by integrating business processes with Big Data, the Cloud and both Mobil and Collaborative applications we are giving enterprises an uninterrupted rapid response service to changing market conditions,” said Wolfram Jost, CTO at Software AG.

In other headlines, ADR Software announced that its Workforce Monitor service will be used for Austin-HITT Joint Venture at the upcoming Charleston International Airport renovation.

"We're excited to be working with Austin-HITT at the Charleston Airport project," said Bruce Labovitz, ADR's cofounder and president. "This is a big project with many moving parts and we're pleased to have been selected to monitor the biggest component of those moving parts, the labor. This assignment in South Carolina expands our service territory and advances our strategic rollout of the Workforce Monitor service on a national basis."

The Workforce Monitor can be deployed at job sites at the beginning of a project since it is a Web-based solution, making it an attractive choice for Austin-HITT.
