Laserfiche Unveils Laserfiche 9

By Raju Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor

As companies create a large volume of digital data, storing and retrieving them has been steadily growing into a problem. But proper use of this digital data is important as companies can evaluate this to their advantage. Enterprise data management helps companies gather data systematically and make best use of that data.

Helping companies in this task, Laserfiche has released Laserfiche 9. This new release helps companies use the power of enterprise data management (ECM) and business process management (BPM) by bringing them together.

To achieve that, users can make use of Web-based forms and a feature that helps users take care of problems usually found in business processes. The company has named these business processes as “super workflows” and they help managing various tasks such as process reporting.

Laserfiche ECM helps companies deploy a uniform standard in data management throughout the company. Also, users can customize these products to meet their personal goals. Users can also standardize on a single ECM system, which brings whole new possibilities in data management.

“In this dynamic business environment, both executives and staff have to make quick decisions. Yet it’s often difficult to manage tasks—particularly when cross-departmental collaboration is involved,” said Tom Wayman, VP of Product Strategy at Laserfiche. “Laserfiche 9 enables organizations to define, measure and modify business processes, from the moment information is captured until post-process analysis is complete.”

The company has been contributing to making cities go digital. Recently, the company congratulated 17 of its customers for having been featured in the list of the most advanced digital cities in the United States. This list was provided in the Center for Digital Government's 2012 Digital Cities Survey. The survey tried to understand how municipalities used the modern technology to improve their functioning.
