Kimberly-Clark Optimizes its Supply Chain with MFG.com's LiveSource Supplier Management Tool

Kimberly-Clark, developer of popular brands such as Kleenex, Scott, HUGGIES, Pull-Ups, Kotex and Depend, recently announced it is using LiveSource, a cloud-based e-sourcing and supplier management tool from MGF.com, to optimize its supply chain and to enhance its business operations.


In a statement, Mark J. Rosenquist, North America Procurement with Kimberly-Clark, said that, "By using the MFG.com platform, our team was able to be much more efficient. We used to accomplish around 100 RFQs a year. Now, we can complete around 5,000-6,000 projects without increasing headcount whatsoever. The more bids we are able to perform, the more cost savings we see.”

“Additionally,” he said, “having the virtual marketplace of qualified suppliers is invaluable."

By leveraging LiveSource, Kimberly-Clark will be able to take advantage of the much-needed technology infrastructure to support the management of its global supply chain.

MFG.com’s LiveSource is an on-demand solution that mitigates any technology investments on the part of Kimberly-Clark, and in addition to optimizing the company’s supply chain, will reduce the cycle time for most of its sourcing projects.
